No Need to Get Away

I was thumbing through some quotes to help revive my vision of where my feet may fall next. I stumbled across this, and it kind of blew me away. Enjoy.

"People try to get away from it all- to the country, to the beach, to the mountains. You always wish that you could too. Which is idiotic: you can get away from it anytime you like. By going within. Nowhere you can go is more peaceful-more free of interruption-than your own soul."

Marcus Aurelius

I am so moved not just by the quote but by your amazing journey to Western States. You are awesome - I love your description of the course and the incredible experiences (and pain) you went through to reach your goal. I hope the recovery is going well and give my love to Jen and the girls. xoxo Vivian

Isn't that the dude Russell Crowe played in "Gladiator?" Just kidding LOL great quote bro!

Greg, close, but Russell Crowe (the Gladiator/General Maximus) would be the adopted son of Marcus Aurelius, played by Richard Harris in the movie Gladiator. Aurelius banned Gladiators from the Roman Coliseum but his not-so-humane son Commodus (played by Joaquin Phoenix), who took power after Aurelius' death, brought them back, with an outcome the movie portrays vividly.

This will not work as a matter of fact, that's what I consider.
